Celebrates 25 years of Ministry in Sacramento !
I have been reflecting on the faithfulness of our God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and it's humbling to remember. Truly our Lord, God and King is forever faithful! This year we begin our 25th year of ministry in Sacramento, California. In 1981, my wife Dianne, and our small family returned from Brazil, after having served with OC International for eight years. Since then God has used us to minister at the California Capitol, California National Guard, National Day of Prayer, Global Day of Prayer, our local church (Arcade Church, Sacramento, CA) and to collaborate with hundreds of ministries, events, and outreaches over the past 25 years. How faithful God has been and what an extraordinary honor to worship and serve Him. It has been the goal of our life to unite people in Christ and assist them to seek God and work together for His purposes, honor and glory in our city, state and nation. The methods and ministries have changed, but the goal of ultimately seeing the Body of Christ strengthen, encouraged, equipped to do the work of the ministry has always been our goal.
Serving pastors, local congregations and the move of God in our city, state and country is paramount to us! And the opportunity to serve in this way continues to grow. Our homesite at Capitol Fellowship explains in more detail with we've been doing and how.
Those who work with CFFGroup and others who collaborate with us hope you will continue to pray and invest in this ministry. We believe God's faithful Hand has demonstrated the fruitfulness of your prayers and investment. And we ask that your prayers, participation and investment will continue.
People have asked me: "Joe, when are you going to retire? I tell them never! I have only one life to live. And I will continue to worship and serve Him until He takes me home. Now, I know that means I will not be able to do things in ten years that I did ten or twenty years ago. But what it does say to me is that God does have a plan of service in His Kingdom until our personal end. At which time, He will promote us into His presence.
So, we serve. We teach. We train. We mentor others in vision of a biblical life and ministry. And we welcome those into the CFFGroup ministry who want to be a part of something that is making a difference by connecting, networking and linking the Body of Christ together in new ways that local congregations and pastors have not thought of before.
For example: raising up intercessors for your pastoral team, intercessors for the Elder Board, communication network systems between churches and cities. We want and need God's wisdom, knowledge and faith to hear and do with He wants for His family to know and do at this time of ministry in our cities and beyond. Intercession, prayer networks and seeking God's Face, glory and presence in our personal lives, congregations and cities is what God is calling forth today. He does it through a variety of means, methods and events to make His KINGdom known and the saving Gospel of His Son to those who need to hear it. And how do we do that??
Please continue to pray for and visit below the CFFGroup and the family of network homesite communications that has been growing over the past 5-6 years. Some of the evidence is below at these ministry communication sites. I ask you to pray for each one. I ask you to pray for each person is who working or will soon be working on them. Ask the Lord to keep us set apart for Himself to serve His Kingdom and His people wherever they are at.
Thank you so much for being a part of the CFFGroup - and growing - ministry. We praise God for each one of you.
Worshiping and Serving Him (...with you!)
